WFED 8010 Work Ethics Curriculum

This module was created using Angel, the online learning platform used by the Technical College System of Georgia

Modules covering Initiative, Dependability and Interpersonal Skills

Each module is tailor made to a specific management course where the ethic may be most relevant.

Inside view of Initiative Module

Includes definition, learning objectives, why important, and break down of activities.

OWEI Assessment

The assessment will be used as a baseline for students at the beginning of the semester.

OWEI Discussion

Students will discuss initial assessment scores.

Videos and resources regarding work ethic

This is a good tool to engage today’s learner.

Case analysis

Students will be presented with a case analysis regarding the particular work ethic. Since this is a business class, they will address the work ethic from a manger’s perspective and identify constituents affected by the behavior. The hope is that by using an application approach for the ethic in their field of study, learning will be enhanced.

Workforce Trends

Students will research two business articles discussing work ethics in today’s work force. Again, this will hopefully reinforce the importance of work ethics for success.

End of semester feedback and reflection

Students will retake OWEI assessment and evaluate the beginning and ending scores. They will also provide feedback of the work ethic module training.

Work ethic feedback form.

The hope is that students will reflect on the particular work ethic and recognize their strengths and weaknesses. The instructor will also find out what students found to be effective and areas for improvement/changes.
