Friday, August 121:00-4:30 p.m. – Fall Athlete Room Check-In (football, volleyball, soccer, cross country): WMEC Lobby

Pick up your keys, orientation packet and ID. After check-in, you can begin moving into your new home with some help from our Resident Assistants (RA) and orientation staff.

5:00-6:00 p.m. – Welcome Dinner: Cafeteria

6:30-7:30 p.m. – Opening Session: Chapel New students, plus their parents/family members, gather with other new students and their families for a kickoff to their Tabor experience. You will be introduced to some people who will be a part of your journey.

7:30-9:00 p.m. – Parent/Family Reception with the President: The Glanzers’ Home

Come connect with other Tabor parents/families and get to know Tabor’s first family, Dr. and Mrs. Jules Glanzer.

7:30-9:00 p.m. – Campus Activity (New Students)

9:00 p.m. – Team Meetings

11:00 p.m. – Housing Meeting

Saturday, August 13a.m. – Team Meetings as Assigned by Coaches

Athletes will meet with their teams. The time/place will be assigned by coaching staff.

8:00-10:00 a.m. – Parent Breakfast & Orientation: WMEC Lobby

New students aren't the only ones experiences college. As a parent, you are part of their journey. Come meet some of the people at Tabor who will be part of your student’s experience, plus your own. Learn some helpful information along the way.

10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. – Registration & Financial Settlement: Chapel

All fall athletes will confirm classes, take yearbook pictures and walk through other processes. To keep lines short, come only at the assigned time you receive during athletic team check-in. All fall athletes are required to process financial settlement at this time.

12:00 p.m. – Lunch: Cafeteria

5:00 p.m. – Dinner: Cafeteria

7:00 p.m. – Student Athletes: Team Meetings (as assigned by coaches)

11:00 p.m. – Residence Hall Hang-Out Time Get to know your RA, Resident Director (RD) and floor-mates with some food and fun.

6:30-7:30 p.m. – Intro to Tabor College Athletics: WMEC

All freshman fall student athletes are to attend this session. Time for new student athletes to hear important information from the key people within the athletic department.

7:30-8:15 p.m. – Mentor Group Gatherings: Cafeteria

8:30-9:30 p.m. – “Bigger or Better” with Mentoring Groups

Take a journey into Hillsboro with your mentoring group for a fun competition.

10:00 p.m. – Residence Hall Hang-Out Time: A brief time to connect with your RA and other students in your living area.

Saturday, August 208:00 a.m. – Breakfast: Cafeteria

Gather with your peer group for breakfast.

9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – Student Service ProjectsSpend the morning with your mentoring group serving others in our communities.

12:00-1:00 p.m. – Lunch: Cafeteria

1:00-4:30 p.m. – Free TimeSpend time with your family, attend practices, shop, relax and/or fix up your room.

5:15 p.m. – Floor Meeting Meet on your floor with other students and your RA. This will be a chance to connect with others and get off to a great start.

6:00 p.m. – Dinner: Cafeteria

7:00 p.m. – Living Area Meeting Gather with all other incoming students in your residence hall. Men’s Quad/Cedar Hall: The Historic Church Women’s Quad: Schlichting Center

8:00 p.m. – Hoedown: Joel H. Wiens Stadium Parking Lot

Get your western-themed groove on with other new students. Pearl snap shirts, boots and hats optional.

Sunday, August 2110:30 a.m. – Morning Worship Service: Chapel

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Lunch: Cafeteria

1:00-5:30 p.m. – Computer Orientation & Freshman Surveys: Location TBA

Students will gather for a tutorial on Tabor’s email, web, and other computer systems, plus take a survey. Times and locations will be assigned to each mentoring group.

6:00-8:30 p.m. – Dinner: Cookout with your Mentor

Head to your mentor’s home for a cookout with your mentoring group.

9:00 p.m. – Movie on the Lawn: Main Lawn Come early and stake out your spot for a full-length film screening in front of the H.W. Lohrenz Building.

Monday, August 228:00-8:45 a.m. – Breakfast: Cafeteria

12:00 p.m. – Lunch: Cafeteria

12:30-1:30 p.m. – “Where is my Class?”Bring your class schedule and meet up with your mentoring group. Walk through campus to find out where you need to be in the morning for class.

2:00-5:30 p.m. – Free TimeBuy your books, hang out with friends, shop for last minute needs, and/or rest

5:00-6:30 p.m. – Outdoor Dinner in the Mall

6:30 p.m. – Launch PartyTime to celebrate the official launch of the Class of 2020! Come for a great time of fun and games, plus there will be prizes. We will also be taking a group picture. #IAmABluejay20

7:30 p.m. – Tabor Safe

Monday evening classes begin tonight.
