It has been a busy week but it has been a good one. Having Cowwarr PS here has been fantastic and we are very pleased to be able to host them while their school is being organised. We cannot thank you enough for your sup-port. Students have been welcoming every one and it is truly beautiful to watch.
I hear there is a rivalry in footy and netball between Heyfield and Cowwarr. A game is played to win the ‘Komen-Hollands Cup’ every year. What a great story this is! Lucky it is still Cricket season! Enjoy your weekend.

Sale on Thursday 27th Feb. (free)
Speech Pathologist in School Program
In addition to the support which already occurs
in our school, we will have a speech pathologist
visiting our school to work with teachers in the
early years using a capability-building approach
rather than working with individual children.
They will share specialist knowledge and skills
with educators to support them to develop
strategies and skills to work children who have
speech, language and communication needs.
The speech pathologists will also support
schools to identify appropriate referral path-
ways to address individual children's needs if
required.
These sessions with teachers will take place
every second Tuesday.
Wednesdays
Our first afternoon took place yesterday and chil-
dren seemed to enjoy their time. Junior students
from Cowwarr PS joined in as well.
Next Wednesday will be the senior students en-
joying different activities. They will have the
choice between: Board Games, Outside game,
Dance, Tennis, Card making, Art, Gardening and
more.
If you are able to support us with this, please let
me know.
Getting to School
We have our Walking School Bus leav-
ing the milk bar at 8:15am every morn-
ing unless the weather is too wet.
Students can ride to school but they
will need to get off their bike when
crossing roads and at the end of the
street so they do not bump into pedes-
trians or people coming out of shops.
Riding at a safe pace when near the
chemist and IGA is important too.
Another option is to be dropped off at
our ‘drop and go’ zone, which you can-
not park in.
See us at the office if your child would
like to enter this equestrian event.
