Freshman Classroom Guidance

• Students can request to meet with their counselor by filling out a green request form in the front of the Counseling Office and giving it to Mrs. Alexander, Counseling Secretary.
• The counselor will meet with the student at his or her earliest convenience.
• If the student has an URGENT NEED that must be addressed ASAP, let Mrs. Alexander know.
Requesting a Meeting with the Counselor
• 23 total credits• 4 English credits• 4 Math credits• 4 Science credits• 3 Social Studies credits• 3 CTAE, Foreign Language*, or Fine Arts credits• 4 additional Elective credits• 1 Health/Personal Fitness credit
* Four-year colleges require a minimum of two years in the same Foreign Language
Graduation Requirements for the Class of 2019
• In January, teachers in core subject areas will make recommendations for the following year (Ex: On-Level Lit vs. Honors Lit)
• February-March: Students may waive into another level class with an approved class waiver form
• February-March: Students select their electives and alternate choices via Parent Portal at home
