Multicast Paging with the snom PA1 snom (Public Amplifier One)PA1:

The Missing Link

Q: How do you keep or add an intercom system to your your SIP IP PBX or UC platform?

A: snom PA1 (Public Amplifier One)

The Business Problem: • Many organizations using legacy PBX systems also manage

public address/paging systems in the ceiling and/or network of phone(s)

• When organization migrate to IP PBX or UC systems, it requires often a change-out of the PA system infrastructure

• Converting from a legacy PA system to new IP based SIP/IP based speaker system is costly

• Why change out something that works?

The Solution:

snom PA1 can bridge this SIP upgrade and serve two roles within your paging system

• Listener: Listen to and broadcast to speakers/amplifiers on a SIP call

Send to one speaker via included 4 watt amplifier

Drive an amplifier for multiple speakers in large rooms

• Server: Multi-cast Relay to listening PA1s and snom phones.
