• Regional distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables, serving retail grocery distribution centers and institutional food service wholesale customers

• Expansion underway for a 70,000 square feet facility for distribution facility and 12,000 for offices. Will move into the building on October 31. It is a $13.5 million project.

Alamo Group

• 65 employees in Indianola

• Began as Herschel in 1974, Alamo Group in 1995

• Manufactures and distributes aftermarket parts for the Agricultural Industry

• In 2002 the warehouse was expanded by 52,500 sq. ft. for $1.3 million

Cemen Tech• Current employment is

approx. 89 (100% employee-owned)

• Cemen Tech is a 43 year old company with 38 years in Indianola.

• Cemen Tech is the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of volumetric concrete mixers.

• Employee levels up marginally after concrete industry hit hard in 2008.

General Mills• General Mills presently has

90 full time employees

• General Mills been operating in Carlisle for 55 years

• Produces Gold Medal wheat flour for the wholesale Baking Industry as well as Betty Crocker baking mixes for the retail market.

• Last expansion was in 2002 with a nearly doubling of capacity to our retail baking mix operation. 15 new employees were added at that time.
