The better the foam, the better the suppression. That’s what drove
Waterous to develop Advantus.
It changes everything you’d expect from a foam
proportioner and marks a significant turning point in
Foam Management Technology. Not surprisingly,
Advantus is quickly becoming one of the most sought
after foam management systems in the world.
Advantus is the first and only Foam Management System that uses
specialized sensors, two featuring advanced conductivity-based
technology and one to measure flow. Advantus monitors the
foam/water ratio and makes automatic adjustments that ensure
optimum foam effectiveness with the least amount of foam
concentrate waste.
Advantus – the world’s best foam proportioner.
It takes more than concentrate and water to
create the world’s most effective fire suppressing
foam. It demands world-class engineering coupled
with breakthrough technology to get it right. In
other words, it takes Advantus, the most advanced
foam proportioner ever developed.
INTUITIVE CONTROLS, SIMPLE OPERATION
Rubber coated buttons wear out. That’s why Advantus
uses long lasting stainless steel buttons. What’s more,
operators can switch between foam and water
operation with the push of a button. A digital display
shows flow per minute, total volume of water
discharge, total amount of concentrate used and
which foam tank is in use. The display also warns
operators when concentrate tanks are low.
DURABLE PROCESS MANIFOLD
Manufactured from Schedule 10 316 stainless steel for long,
reliable life. There are also victaulic groove connections at
each end for easy connection to the apparatus plumbing.
RELIABLE CHECK VALVES
An Akron full-flow brass body check valve within the foam
process manifold prevents foam contamination of the fire
pump and water supply. Another check valve located in the
foam concentrate line at the foam injection point prevents
water backflow into the foam supply reservoir.
MULTIPLE SIZES, SAME UNCOMPROMISING POWER
Advantus is available in two sizes, a 3 GPM, or 6 GPM unit to best
suit your fire suppression needs. Both standard versions deliver an
impressive 450 psi, while the HP model musters 600 psi.
LEADING EDGE MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL
A 16-bit mixed signal microcontroller with 60kB flash memory,
2kB RAM and 12-bit analog to digital receiver converter compares
and calculates readings from the incoming water conductivity
probe, flowmeter and foam solution conductivity probe.
LAPTOP DIAGNOSTIC
Advantus features instant, accurate tech
support using a laptop installed with
Advantus software or using our
remote, online diagnostic
testing and repairs. Either
way, just plug your laptop into
the Advantus computer port and test.
INDUSTRY BEST WARRANTY
Advantus leads the industry in technology
and in support. Each model comes with a
2-year warranty, fully integrated product
service solutions and lifetime support.
THREE SENSORS FOR SUPERIOR FOAM
Three dedicated sensors with advanced
conductivity technology allow Advantus to
monitor the foam/water ratio – even in ultra
low flow conditions. Advantus then makes
automatic, on-the-fly adjustments that ensure
optimum foam effectiveness with the least
amount of foam concentrate waste.
LONG LASTING HYDRA-CELL® PUMP
Industry exclusive Wanner Hydra-Cell multiple
diaphragm pump is hydraulically balanced with
a positive displacement diaphragm.
Manufactured to handle high viscosity fluids
with suspended abrasives. It’s available as a 3
GPM (11.3 l/min) or 6 GPM (22.6 l/min) model.
Advantus is unl ike any other foamproportioner in the world, because it works likeno other foam proportioner can.
1. A Waterous water pump discharges water
into the process manifold.
2. The raw water sensor samples the
incoming water supply to determine water
hardness and quality.
3. A Hydra-Cell pump injects foam
concentrate into the process manifold.
4. The paddlewheel sensor measures flow
then provides this data to the microcontroller
and operator.
5. All information gathered by the sensors is
continually fed into the microprocessor
controller, which makes constant
adjustments to maintain the proper
water/foam ratio for maximum foam
quality and system efficiency.
