It is 555 feet high

It has 897 steps and an elevator up to the observation room

First stone put in place on February 12, 1914, Lincoln’s birthday

The seven spikes on her crown stand for the seven continents.

THE AMERICAN FLAG

The 50-star flag was completed July 4, 1960.
