Fashion Tips for REALWomen

FEATURE

Fashion tips are easy to come by if you’re 5’8”, have a model figure, and can regularly drop five figures on clothes. But if you aren’t, don’t, and can’t, following fashion can be a bit of a challenge.

So what’s a fashion lover to do? Learn how to dress yourself!

1. Determine Your Body Shape

There are four primary body shapes: top heavy, bottom heavy, no waist, and hour glass. Each shape has clothes that look ter-rific on it, each has styles that don’t look so great. Match the clothes shape to the body shape, and you’re sure to have success.

2. Know Your Best Colors

Have you ever noticed that some brides look great in white while others look better in ivory? It’s because of the blue or yellow undertones in the skin, and it can vary from person, even within families. Find the colors that look best on you, and you’ll always look great.

3. Understand Your Clothing Personality

Some women love classics. Others prefer dramatic. Some like sporty. Others go for ro-mantic. If you have clothes in your closet that you haven’t worn because they’re not “you,” chances are, you bought styles that didn’t fit your clothing personality. Match your clothes to your clothing personality and you’ll wear everything you buy.

4. Know Your Lifestyle

Have you ever had to turn down an invitation because you literally had “nothing to wear?” If so, that means you have gaping holes in your wardrobe. You’ve funneled all your cloth-ing allowance to one or two of your primary activities, so when something unexpected comes up, you have nothing to wear. If you build a well-rounded wardrobe, you’ll always be in style.

Understanding fashion isn’t just knowing about the latest fashion trends - it’s under-standing what works for YOUR body shape, YOUR clothing personality, and YOUR life-style. Once you master these basics, dress-ing fashionably is a snap!

As the seasons change so does our skin and we have to protect it. Wintry and windy weather conditions can take a dehydrated toll on your skin. However, there is hope and we can protect our skin from the elements with a few simple but very important tips.

Tip 1. Since humidity levels are lower outdoors and because of heating in-doors--the air tends to be dry. Drinking water to avoid dehydration and using a humidifier can promote a healthy, youth-ful looking skin.

Tip 2. Don’t skip the sun protection just because summer in gone! In fact, the sun’s UV damage can be much more harmful in the winter. Protect yourself with a skin protecting SPF of 15 or great-er.

Tip 3. After cleansing the skin--put the moisture back in! A good moisturizershould attract and retain moisture while protecting the skin. To protect

against dry and flaking skin try using a heavier cream based moisturizer during the cold winter months. Check for key in-gredients such as petroleum based prod-ucts and Shea butter. Almond, avocado, coconut, jojoba and olives are also excel-lent choices.

Now you have been empowered to keep Old Man Winter at bay and no morecracked lifeless-looking skin!

That’s it for now and don’t forget to fol-low me in every edition of VYTCH 4 HER as I answer your questions and concerns and offer my advice on everything that is beauty.

In this article, I want to share with you 3 exercises for women who want to lose fat and are not afraid to put in a little effort. These exercises may seem like the sort of exercises men like to do but the fact is that fat is fat and it burns off with the right kind of exercises whether they’re performed by a man or a wom-en. The goal of these exercises is to force your body to melt away the fat. Pure and simple. Ready to take action? Good. Let’s get started...

Exercise #1 - Forward Lunges

This is a great fat burning exercise for women because it not only burns a lot of calories but it also targets the thighs and buttocks, two common feminine trouble spots. To do a forward lunge you begin by standing straight with both feet close together. Take a step forward with your right leg. The step should be medium in length. Bend your right knee to a 90 de-gree angle. Make sure to not over bend it. Feel the strain in both thighs and in your buttocks. Rise up and return to your starting position. Repeat this exer-cise with your left leg. To make this ex-ercise harder you can hold a dumbbell in each hand.

Exercise #2 - Step jumps

Another great fat burning exercise. You will need an aerobic step to perform this or some kind of sturdy box. You begin this exercise with one foot on the floor and the other on the step. Switch between your feet back and forth over and over. This can be a powerful car-dio workout. You’ll be surprised how fast you can build up a sweat with this kind of exercise.

Exercise #3 - Bicep Curl and Shoul-der Press

This is a great combination exercise that targets the biceps and shoulders together. You will need a pair of dumb-bells for this exercise. Grab a dumbell in each hand and hold them with straight arms at your side. Do a bicep curl with both hands and, in the same motion, do a shoulder press by pushing both dumb-bells up over your head. You will soon feel how hard this exercise can be.

Do these 3 exercises and you will burn more calories and fat than before.
