Technology Transfer Brokers Network(www.technology-forum.com)

Pag. 7

ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) uses a network of technology brokers to assess the market needs in areas where there is a potential for exploitation of space technologies.

The technology brokers also foster Spin-off by New Business Creation and source the deal flow to ESA BICs

STFC

National Technology Transfer Initiative (NTTI)

Pag. 8

In NL, the NTTI is the Dutch Technology Transfer Programme, managed by TNO

–The Dutch Technology Transfer Programme (DTTP) actively promotes the spin-

off of space technology in the Netherlands.

–The objective is bridging the gap between the European space sector and

industry players to enable a more effective and efficient process for the transfer of

knowledge between these parties.

–The creation of new spin-off companies is part of this objective

–The NTTIs inc. DTTP are source of deal flow for ESA BICs

Creativity and Concurrent Design Centrewww.ccd-c.eu

– Hosted at the REDU station.

– Aiming at supporting entrepreneurs to prepare their project upstream the

incubation period, through:

o a combination of result-oriented creativity sessions,

o immediate access to technical expertise,

o a concurrent design facility and

o rapid prototyping/modeling techniques.

– These services will allow applicants to the incubators (eg. ESA BICs) to present

a stronger and more mature business case.

– The incubator will fulfill its role in a more efficient way, with a shorter retention

time, and as such the success rate of incubated projects will increase
