NOVEMBER, 2014
Dear Wine of the Month Club Members:
The Wine-of-the-Month Club selections this month include the crisp, yet full 2013 Napa Valley
Chardonnay, the delicately perfumed 2013 Dry Gewürztraminer, our best-selling 2013 Gamay Rouge, the
2011 Mounts Vineyard Zinfandel with its hidden depths, the complex and rich 2012 Entanglement, the
bold and beautiful 2010 Paradiso and our honeyed queen, the 2011 Regina.
Remember that, as Wine Club members, you are eligible for a double discount (20%)
on a case of any of these wines, even a mixed case—regardless of program— December, 2014.
(Six bottles are also discounted for members only at 15%.)
2013 Napa Valley CHARDONNAY
Enjoying the nostalgic aroma of buttered kettle corn is just the first step to experiencing this full-bodied, easy
drinker that displays the flavors of warm pear and raw honey. Match this masterful white wine with
Himalayan whitefish and let the notes of honeysuckle and fresh white button mushrooms complete an
incredible dining experience. The Los Carneros growing region, situated on the north shore of the San Pablo
Bay, is one of the most celebrated wine growing regions in the world for cooler climate grapes including
Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Fierce winds from the bay challenge the vines of Los Carneros to retain their
moisture, resulting in delicate, concentrated and juicy wine grapes yielded from what is the gateway to both
the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. The 2013 growing season was a long, drawn out vintage that allowed for the
Chardonnay grapes of Los Carneros to fully ripen under the influence of the fierce bay winds. The result is a
wine of intense, vivid flavors and great distinction.
NEW VINTAGE
Bottle price is $28.00/sent price is $25.20 (Members’ price is $22.40 when ordered by the case
for the next six weeks, or as part of a mixed case among this month’s selections.)
2013 Dry GEWÜRZTRAMINER
Lychee, cinnamon, and the perfume of rose petals leap out of the glass lucky enough to hold this highly
aromatic, elegant white wine. Cosmopolitan in style, the 2013 Dry Gewürztraminer is a must have for any
urban holiday event, with a long finish and complex wash of lychee and minerality that are appropriate for
any holiday occasion. Our 2013 Dry Gewürztraminer is Alsatian in style and hails from one of the finest wine
growing regions in the world, Anderson Valley. Located in Mendocino County, with multiple creeks that
flow throughout the region and surrounded by lush redwood forests, Anderson Valley vines experience hot
sunny days, tempered by the cool marine influence of the Pacific Ocean and a nightly blanket of fog that
settles on the vineyards. 2013 is considered one of the finest vintages on record in California, and a
quenching sip of our 2013 Dry Gewürztraminer explains why.
NEW VINTAGE
Bottle price is $25.00/sent price is $22.50 (Members’ price is $20.00 when ordered by the case
for the next six weeks, or as part of a mixed case among this month’s selections.)
2013 GAMAY ROUGE
Our 2013 Gamay Rouge is the ultimate host wine for opening Thanksgiving dinner – or any holiday party. A
breath of fruit punch and floral aromas is followed by a refreshing wash of tart berry and cranberry, balanced
by subtle sweetness and apple blossom. Pair the Gamay Rouge with any cheese platter or prepared hors
d’oeuvres, and serve again with cranberry sauce and mesquite turkey. Our Gamay Rouge is created through
cold fermentation, a method that slows the winemaking process and allows for more color and flavor to be
extracted from the naturally thin skins of the Gamay grapes. Fermentation is halted early in order to retain
some of the sweetness that pairs so well with the fruity quality of this wine, and the result is our world
renowned Gamay Rouge. 2013 was one of the best vintages on record in California, and it is unmistakable
here in one of our hallmark wines.
NEW VINTAGE
Bottle price is $22.00/sent price is $19.80 (Members’ price is $17.60 when ordered by the case
for the next six weeks or as part of a mixed case among this month’s selections.)
2011 Mounts Vineyard ZINFANDEL
Another testament to the superb skill of our winemakers, the 2011 Mounts Vineyard Zinfandel translates into
a deep, bold and jammy red wine with distinguishing notes of pepper spice and black fruit preserves. Well-
structured and displaying a creamy, full body, this is a powerful Zinfandel well equipped to handle nearly all
holiday events and food pairings. Born in Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, the Mounts Vineyard is
unmistakable, with the terroir of the growth site displaying through dried sage and an unmistakable dustiness.
The vineyard itself is managed by the Mounts family, the same family that has worked that vineyard for three
generations and has imparted a legacy of greatness on every wine created from their soil. The Mounts
family’s exceptional knowledge of the vineyard allows them to perfect all aspects of growing including sun
exposure, rootstock selection, and trellis design, proving us with a remarkable Zinfandel that simply must be
experienced.
Bottle price is $37.00/sent price is $33.30 (Members’ price is $29.60 when ordered by the case
for the next six weeks or as part of a mixed case among this month’s selections.)
2012 ENTANGLEMENT
This exclusive Wine Club pre-release is an essential for holiday parties and Thanksgiving dinner.
Entanglement offers a rich experience of black plum, black cherry and warm rhubarb pie topped with fresh
strawberries. The nose of this gem displays red holiday flowers, red fruit preserves and a hint of sweet
salinity that pairs perfectly with the essence of the chalky Napa Valley soils these grapes grew up in. The first
inhale of Entanglement may impart a vision of a briar patch in the redwood forest on a beautiful autumn day.
Enjoy with pepper steak and follow with a delicate éclair drizzled with dark chocolate. A blend of Grenache,
Syrah, and Mouvèdre, Entanglement is a true Rhone Style blend, born from the unparalleled vineyards of the
Napa Valley.
NEW RELEASE – Wine Club PRE-RELEASE!
Bottle price is $32.00/sent price is $28.80 (Members’ price is $25.60 when ordered by the case

2010 PARADISO A deep, Bordeaux-style blend, with a strikingly similar color of finely crushed garnets, our Paradiso from
2010 is a testament to one of the highest-rated red wine vintages in the past decade for Napa Valley. Luscious
black plum skin layered over warm plum sauce is the story told by this phenomenal blend of some of the
finest wine grapes California has to offer. Created from only the best blocks of fruit, in only our finest
vineyards, including Preston and Morisoli Vineyards in Rutherford, and Henry Ranch in Los Carneros, this
three-grape blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot is a true Napa Valley
benchmark in the left-bank style. Pair this powerhouse with the holiday main meal. We suggest slowly
roasted venison simmered in red wine, accompanied by fine mint jelly, and served with a side of roasted
broccoli, doused in garlic, olive oil and lemon juice.

2011 REGINA The reigning queen of our late harvest selections, the Regina from 2011 captures the essence of just over-ripe
apricot and fresh autumn leaves, dried and warmed by the California sun. The challenging 2011 vintage
tested the mettle of our winemakers, and is a testament to their superior skills and perseverance in the face of
adversity. The result is this remarkable dessert wine that amplifies the terroir of Napa Valley. The very late
harvest of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc captures the essence of autumn in the valley, while displaying
intense floral aromatics and distinguishing volcanic minerality. Warm grape pie topped with raisins and
whipped cream is the perfect pairing to this wine after a memorable Thanksgiving dinner.
