STIMULY Is anything you see, hear, touch, smell and taste.

Can be :internal or external

RECEPTORSCan be: internal or external

RESPONSESIs the body ´s answer to a

stimulus.Can be muscular and glandular

EXTERNAL STIMULY

THE EYE

The eye is the organ of sight.It is made up of the eyeball and protected by the eyebrows, eyelids and eyelashes.

THE NOSE

The nose is the organ of smell . The receptors of smell are in the pipiutary gland inside de nostrils

THE EAR

The ear is the organ of hearing.It has three parts: The outer ear The middle earThe inner ear.

THE SKIN

The skin is the organ of touch .It is made up of three layers: EPIDERMIS DERMIS HIPODERMIS

THE TONGE

The tonge is the organ of taste.The receptors of taste are in the taste buds.There are taste buds around the tonge.

THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

It is made up of nerve centres and nerves.

Nerve centres interpret the

information and develop responses , forming the central

nervous system.

Nerves transmit information , forming

the pheripheral nervous system.

NEURONS

Both the central and pheripheral nervous systemare are made up of specialised cells called neurons

VOLUNTARY AND INVOLUNTARY MOVEMENTS The brain produces

a response in case of voluntary movements.

The spinal cord produces a

response in case of involuntary movements.
