AS A CHILD GROWING UP IN LOS ANGELES, MY DAD USE TO TAKE US OUT TO AN AREA JUST

OUTSIDE OF DOWNTOWN CALLED ECHO PARK. IN THOSE DAYS IT WAS JUST AN INEXPENSIVE

TRIP AWAY FROM OUR HOME IN HOLLYWOOD. EVEN THEN I FOUND MY SELF MESMERIZED BY THE

SITES AND THE SOUNDS OF THE PARK AND THE SURROUNDING CITY. THIS SEASON WE DECIDED

TO CREATE A COLLECTION THAT WAS INSPIRED BY THOSE CHILDHOOD TRIPS OUT TO ECHO PARK

AND GIVE IT THAT UNIQUELY UGP TWIST.

WE’VE TAKEN INSPIRATION IN EVERYTHING FROM STREET ART TO MARIACHI BANDS. OUR COLOR PALETTE WAS EXTRACTED FROM A TRADITIONAL MEXICAN BLANKET WITH AN EMPHASIS ON DEEPLY PIGMENTED HUES. THIS SEASON’S THEMES RANGE FROM TRADITIONAL LATINO CULTURE TO BRIGHT AND BOLD GRAFFITI ART. We hooked up with Karl on this slim fit

reversible tee. Karl wanted something

simple and bold that could be worn with

anything. He came up with this shirt design

that we are very excited about. The simple

graphics highlight the technical details
