Pre-Season Scouting
Colorado Ducks Unlimited is again
offering a 2010 Colorado Shiras Moose
Tag through a one-of-a-kind raffle. The
license is valid for all Colorado Moose
Game Management Areas and for all
legal seasons. The only restriction is that
during the Muzzle-Loader Season, a
Muzzle-Loader must be used. Following
that, till the end of December, any legal
weapon may be used. This is essentially
“The Governor’s Tag” — it doesn’t get
any better.
Ducks Unlimited and the Colorado
Division of Wildlife split proceeds from
the Moose Ticket Raffle. Proceeds from
this raffle go to wetlands conservation in
Colorado and moose management
projects in the state.
As many of you know who have been
submitting applications to the Colorado
annual Moose limited license draw, the
odds aren’t very good. In fact, they are
terrible, and the application fee is $300
(most of which is refunded if you don’t
draw a tag). Ducks Unlimited only has a
short time to sell tickets so the total
number of tickets sold probably will not
be large. Your odds are good.
