terms of economic growth in thenext few years. Each year we willgrow at a better rate, said SureshPrabhu, Minister of Commerce &Industry and Civil Aviation,Government of India, while

speaking at the 4th NationalLeadership Conclave of All IndiaManagement Association (AIMA).While speaking on the AIMA-KPMG report on Industry 4.0:India Inc. gearing up for thechange, released on theoccasion, and the theme of theConclave, Suresh Prabhu saidthere is always fear andapprehension before any change,

but creating an environment towelcome the revolution is a goodidea. “With proper policyframework and changes we caneasily grow at a much higher rate.There are so many structuralchanges that have happened thatwill take the nation to a differentgrowth trajectory,” he added.

Guest of Honour Jayant Sinha,Minister of State for Civil Aviation,Government of India, spoke

about the current situation of theaviation sector; the sector’s targetof a billion trips; and majorinitiatives to realise that target.“We have hit the rail parity inthree interesting ways and theyare in terms of pricing, volume orpassenger trips and totalrevenue,” the minister said. Theminister also mentioned thatsafety, security and finding theland to build new greenfield

airports are someof the challengingareas that they areworking on.“Creating employment prospectsfor people is another area we arefocussed on. We have to developrequired skill sets to support thegrowth of the sector,” he said.
