Chr ist mas Biscuit s
These can be eaten straight away, given as
Christmas presents orhung on the Christmas
tree as decorations.
I ngredient s:
100g unsalted butter,softened
100g caster sugar
1 large egg, beaten
275g plain flour
1 tsp vanilla extract (or any other flavour yo
u
want to use)
400gicing sugar
3-4 tbsp water
2-3 drops of food colouring
Edible decorations
1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius
and line a tray with greaseproof paper.
2. Cream the butterand sugar together un
til
pale and light Beat inthe egg and vanilla
extract. Then stir in the flour until the
mixture becomes a dough.
3. Roll the dough outto a thickness of 1cm.
Using a Christmas shaped cutter cut out the
biscuits and put themon the baking tray.
4. Bake the biscuits for 8-10 minutes and
leave to harden on a wire rack.
5. To make icing, siftthe icing sugar into a
large bowl and stir inenough water to make
a
smooth mixture. Add in the
food colouring.
Spread on the icing and stick on the
decorations. Leave toharden and then
enjoy!!!

225g butter, diced 350g plain flour 100g golden caster sugar 280g mincemeat 1 small egg Icing sugar
1. For the pastry, rub the butter into
the flour, then mix in 100g goldencaster sugar and a pinch of salt.2. Mix the pastry into a ball andknead it. Preheat the oven to 200degrees Celsius.
3. Butter small fairy cake tins. Rollout the dough on a lightly flouredsurface and cut it into circles with acookie cutter.4. Then place a smaller circle on topto seal them. Beat the egg and brushthe tops of the pies with it.5. Then, bake for 20 min or untilgolden. Once theyre finished, lightlydust with icing sugar and theyre
ready to eat! Enjoy!

I ngredient s:
1 tbsp butter 1 red onion, peeled and sliced Fresh sage A handful of breadcrumbs Pork meat
250g puff pastry 1 egg A small bit of milk
1.Preheat the oven to 180 degreesCelsius. Melt the butter in asaucepan and add the onions.2. Cook gently for about 20 minuntil soft and golden brown. Addthe sage leaves, cook for a couple
of minutes more and then spreadout on a plate to cool.3. Put the meat in a
mixing bowl with the sage and onionmix and the breadcrumbs and mixit together.4. On a floured surface, roll thepastry out into a big rectangle andcut it lengthways into two long,even rectangles. Roll the mixtureinto sausage shapes with your
hands and lay along the centre ofeach rectangle.5. Mix the egg and milk and brush
the pastry with the mixture, thenfold one side of the pastry over,wrapping the filling inside. Pressdown with your fingers.6. Cut the long rolls into the sizes
you want and place them on abaking tray. Brush with the rest of
the egg wash and bake in thepreheated oven for 25 min.

Ice hockey was invented in Canada (f.y.i a northern country in anorthern continent called north America) in the eighteenthcentury but is one of the most popular sports in Alaska. Icehockey is a sport played on ice with ice skates. The teamsconsist of five players and a goalie. The object of the game is tohit the 'puck' with the hockey stick inside the opponent's goal.Whoever gets the most points or goals wins. The five bestinternational teams are: Russia in first place, Finland in second,Czech Republic taking third, followed by Sweden in fourth placeand Canada in fifth.
