Carnival in Belgium:

Many parts of Belgium celebrate Carnival,usually with costume parades, partying andfireworks.T he Carnival of Binche (belgian town) has ahistory going back to the 14th century. T he parades areheld for the 3 days before Lent. T he most importantpeople in the parades are the Gilles, who traditionally goout on Shrove T uesday and throw blood oranges to thecrowds.
