Ideas for font style and layout:
Text has a distressed effect and the words are split vertically down the page.
Grungy print:
Grungy print style text that fills the page and contains deliberate mistakes which have been corrected as a feature.
Grungy stencil:
Letters have been stenciled over an ink rolled background. Letters missing to attract attention but it is still understandable.
Mixed effect:
A range of letters of different styles have been used to create interest in this composition.
Print blended:
Over-printed and blended type objects and images draw the attention and create an attractive composition. Be clear if using this technique.
Type from shapes and objects:
Letters have been formed by the use of a range of graphical objects by arranging them and removing areas to create shape.
Print on mixed media:
Text has been printed onto a number of paper and card types. This could be done either traditionally or digitally.
3D – 2D mix:
A mixture of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional objects have been created to give this typographic object depth and punch.
Digitally designed:
This image has been created digitally using an image superimposed onto a shape and various artistic techniques used to decorate the lettering.
Type & image/graphic mix:
Typographic objects have been overlaid with graphics or images then each letter has been placed in its own box to aid reading.
Overlapped colour mix:
Coloured words have been overlaid multiply until the text becomes black. The effect has been lessened to the right to create a typographic artwork.
Type from ‘found’ materials:
This type has been created using dried grass bunched together to create the lettering, then photographed.
Building skyline:
This type has been created by taking photographs of shapes created by buildings against the skyline.

Digital typography:This is a number of digital type objects arranges appropriately and then drop shadows added for effect. Brush effects have been used to create the decorative swirls.
