STEWARSHIP HEIRLOOM “The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are
children of God, and if children then heirs, heirs of God
and joint heirs with Christ....”
ROMANS 8: 16-17
If we are heirs to the kingdom of God, shouldn’t we work to
build up His kingdom? Shouldn’t we be good STEWARDS
of our inheritance, using our time in prayer, our talent in
charitable works and our treasure to care for the Church that
God has left to us? Our Church is a treasured heirloom from
God. Do we treat it that way?
The Youth Ministry would like to invite YOU to come to our next meeting. We meet every Saturday in the rectory after the 4PM Mass. If you are interested in be-
coming a youth leader or just want more information please contact the rectory.
Please remember our deceased in your prayers: May they rest in peace.

They are a leading educational placement agency for students from China who study in private high schools throughout the U.S. There is a growing need for families who are willing to open their homes to our students and become a host for the 2018-2019 school year. Our students range from grades 9-11. Each family will be awarded a monthly stipend of $1,000 per month by IVY International. A putting contest will precede the 1:30 shotgun start. As usual, our format will be best ball of foursome. This golf tournament is named for Rev. Fr. John Sullivan who spent over twenty years of his life serving the Gloucester Catholic and St. Mary’s Community. “Sully” was a friend to all who came in contact with him. We name the tournament in his honor to carry on the spirit of commitment that he gave to Gloucester Catholic. Profit from this tournament help fund Alumni Scholarships and the Athletic Department. For more info please call Pat Moughan at 609.970.1822 or e-mail at patrick-moughan@gmail.com
· YOUR VOICE MATTERS TO THE FUTURE OF CATHOLIC SCHOOLS-Did you know? The NJ Governor’s Budget for Fis-cal Year 2019 (2018-19 school year) cut the ceiling for non-public school transportation from $1,000 to $884.00. Last year, the Legislature increased that ceiling to $1,000 per pupil. Restoring this transportation ceiling is our TOP PRIOITY! Also, the funding for Non-Public Scholl Nursing and Technology accounts that were provided by the Legis-lature for the 2017-18 school year (a total of $3.8 million) were cut by Governor Murphy in the proposed FY 2019 Budget. WHAT CAN YOU DO? Please ask your State Legislators to restore the ceiling for non-public school transpor-tation to last year’s amount of $1,000, and restore the amount for nursing and technology to at least the amounts of the 2018-18 school year. Ask your legislators to encourage their colleagues on the Budget Committee to restore the funding to at least the 2017-18 amounts. Please contact Senator Nilsa Cruz Perez, Assemblymembers Patricia Jones and Arthur Barclay at 856.547.4800. PLEASE CALL TODAY and THANK YOU for your support of Catholic Education.
