The profile(The profile( 总括） 总括） of celadonof celadon

• Originated in the Five Dynasty and prevailed in (盛行于  ) the Song Dynasty .

• It has a large number of types, ranging from ink slabs(砚） , vases, hanging plates, tea sets（茶具） and so forth。

• Longquan---- located in the western border of Zhejiang, at the foot of National Nature Reserve(国家级自然保护区  )Mt. Longquan ---is a historic city, known as“ the capital of porcelain （陶瓷之乡）” ,as well as “ the sword of the state（宝剑之都 )" .

The Ming governor implemented

the maritime restrictions （海禁）， even the folk trade was restricted. Since then, the quality of the Longquan celadon has declined. Despite some efforts were made by the governor, the situation could hardly be reversed. The Longquan celadon completely disappear with the collapse of the feudal monarchy(封建帝制）  .

The decline （衰落） of the Longquan Celadon

Modern Longquan celadon inherits the ancient features （特色） , the best products are known as national treasures and are exhibited in the Great Hall of Zhongnanhai, the National Palace Museum and Museum of Chinese History collection.

October 13, 1998, the State Post Bureau （中国邮政局） published a

special set of stamps on “Chinese Ceramics （瓷器） - Longquan celadon ".
