THE LIFE AND ADVENTURES OF ME

Kristin Davis

Hello. My name is Kristin Davis.

Please, call me Kris.

I’m 31, single, no human children but I have 2 dogs.

Jasmine, my 7 year old Doberman and

Athena, my 9 year old boxer/pit-bull mix.

They are a couple of characters! This was their idea…

I’m originally from a small town, in California, called Happy Camp.

Don’t laugh, it’s not nice.

HAPPY CAMP, CA

So how’d I get to VA? I joined the Marine Corps after high school and traveled the world! Or parts of it anyway…

After boot camp I spent a year in Okinawa, Japan. After that, I PCS’d to Quantico, VA until my EAS and here I stayed.

I don’t remember ever being that young…

I currently live in Stafford, work near Belvoir and attend Germanna in pursuit of my Network Security Degree.

Needless to say, I spend a lot of time on 95. It’s like my second home.

When I’m not enjoying traffic, I stay pretty busy. I’m currently taking 3 classes, 2 online and 1 face-to-face. I hope to have my associates in Network Security by the end of the Spring 2014 Semester.

I have a full time job in the Information Security field, that often requires 8-10 hours a day. I’ve been in the IT field for about 13 years. The last 5 focused in Information Assurance.

Since I don’t really have a picture for this slide I’m using a picture of this puppy, Diamond. Because puppies are cute and it will most assuredly convince you that a PowerPoint is, in fact, better than a video.

I just recently purchased my first road bike and started training for an Olympic distance Triathlon. I have run 2 marathons and countless halves over the last 2 or 3 years. This year will be my most challenging year yet. My event schedule includes 1 marathon a month, at least 2 Triathlons, completing the Spartan Trifecta which is a 3 event series obstacle race, a Toughmudder, and several half marathons. A few I love me photos!

For fun I like to ride my motorcycle, hang out with my friends, eat good food, drink good beer and stay as active as possible.

And that, my friend, is me in a nutshell.I know what you’re thinking. I’m probably the coolest kid in class but I assure you I’m just a regular gal…most of the time

Happy Learning!
