Dominique Genoud and Yann Bocchi present solutions currently being explored by the Swiss and European research projects IoT6, Hobnet and UDG. All of these initiatives aim to exploit the potential of the new Internet Protocol, IPv6, which will allow and manage the multitudes of unique IP addresses needed as more and more “things” come online.
