I have known James for the last fi�een years, as an ac�ve humanitarian worker and also as an ac�ve pianist in church. He has been working as a Project Coordinator in Global Missions Services among the Pokot and Turkana Communi�es for over ten years.

James is a hardworking and resilient gentleman who has demonstrated an ability as a team player to work in a mul�-cultural environment. He has established harmonious and effec�ve working rela�onships among diverse communi�es.

He has played a cri�cal role in mobilizing resources for sustainable development in West Pokot. He has over 10 years experience developing and implemen�ng Water, Sanita�on and Hygiene (WASH) programmes, training women and youth groups. This has led to increased latrine coverage and usage in 3 pastoralist districts a�er training and triggering community led total sanita�on from 14% to 40% from 2005-2008.

Last but not least, since 2004, 8 communi�es in West Pokot have abandoned the prac�ce of child marriage and FGM/C through four Public Declara�ons, represen�ng over 5% of the 3,000 communi�es that prac�ced these customs in 2002.

He successfully implemented the gradua�on of over 600 girls in the Alterna�ve Rite of Passage Ceremony in West Pokot who made a public declara�on to “SAY NO to FGM/C” within a period of 5years.
