The EuroTech Universities Alliance is a strategic partner-ship of four leading European universities of science and technology: Technical University of Denmark (DTU), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and Technische Universität München (TUM). Together they are committed to finding technical solutions which address the major challenges of modern society through cutting-edge research, education and innovation.
Strong voice in Europe
Since its official inauguration in October 2012, the EuroTech Universities Alliance Brussels office provides an interface between developments at EU level and the cooperative activities of the Alliance.Based on the demonstrable excellence of the EuroTech Universities, their unique partnership and their significant participation in EU funding programmes, the Alliance is an important stakeholder in relation to EU policies. The Brussels office collaborates with the other associations of European technical universities, in order to develop a stron-ger voice for technical universities in Europe.

Research
Combining excellent talent and unique research environ-ments, the EuroTech Universities engage in establishing dynamic, interdisciplinary research networks with active participation of faculty, students and industrial partners. The Alliance encourages research collaboration addressing the major challenges of modern society.
GreenTech Initiative
Since 2012, the Alliance has supported joint research projects in the fields of:- Energy Efficient Buildings and Communities- Interface Science for Photovoltaics- Improved Reliability of Large Turbines and Wind Farms
EU Project Preparatory Workshops
In order to encourage joint proposals for EU funding programmes between its partner universities, the Alliance organizes a series of “EuroTech EU Project Preparatory Workshops” across a number of research domains.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The Alliance’s unique contribution is founded on the proven capabilities of its partner universities to combine research and technological knowhow with an entrepreneurial culture. This provides a variety of opportunities for collaboration and exchange of best practice in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Science and Technology Communication
Communicating science and technology is an essential task in order to fulfill the Alliance‘s mission of addressing grand societal challenges. Technologist magazine and website not only presents the latest innovations but also highlights scientific and technological controversies, en-couraging open discussion and debate.
Education The EuroTech Universities work together to create unique educational offers based on their complementary strengths, infrastructures and facilities. This innovative concept targets all career stages, from undergraduates to PhD candidates and young researchers.
MOOCs
Promoting synergies among the partner universities, the Alliance is working towards EuroTech MOOCs as a European label of excellence.
