TAILS Humane Society

On October 11th, 2007 TAILS Humane Society received a call to assist with a hoarding situation thought to involve approximately 50 cats and 100 dogs.

This is what the rescue team encountered when they arrived.

In the end, we removed 163 cats, 116 dogs and 31 birds

over a period of 3 days.

Almost 300 animals were transported to a staging location

in a hangar at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport.

Over 700 volunteers dedicated hours of time helping these animals

learn about love.
