A History of success
The cornerstone of the Currito concept is “Burritos
Without Borders.” We push beyond fresh Mexican
cuisine and typical wrap restaurants to deliver
unexpected flavors with high levels of speed and
service. To our franchisees, we deliver unexpected
support with similar expectations of speed and
service. It is our philosophy that franchisees are the
lifeblood of our company. And we will do anything
within reason to keep them happy.
Invest in great food wrapped up in a great concept.

Growth through reach and adaptability

food they crave within the small windows of
time that they have open.
It gives Currito the ability to thrive in a variety
of locations and sizes, from small food courts
within airports, shopping centers and central
business districts, to larger installations on

about $47.3 billion in sales in 2014 —

volume was $1,109,258.
By the numbers:
• The average per-person
check is $8.50
• The food appeals to all
ages, but especially to
adults between the ages
of 18 and 45
• Currito is most successful
in areas where the
median household
income is greater than
$60,000
• Currito thrives when
the surrounding 3 miles
features a population that
is 40% + college

Why does it works so well?
“People like to see their food prepared in front of them. They also like to see a lot of vegetables and low-calorie ingredients. It’s not greasy, and people nowadays are very health conscious. I am located near a pizza franchise and a Chinese food franchise and I’ve got double their customers.”

On a visit to Philadelphia, two Lanni
brothers from Ohio (Joe and John’s father
and uncle) fell in love with the cheesesteak
and were determined to bring that same
experience to the rest of the country. They
returned home and founded, The Great
Steak and Potato Company, which quickly
expanded to five locations throughout the
state. Three years later, the founders rolled
out their first franchise. In 2004 they sold
a chain of 286 locations.
