All handles are available in Stainless Steel, individuallywrapped, and boxed in units of 10. The larger 6Bhandle is supplied individually in plastic wallets.Standard surgical blades in carbon steel (sterile or non-sterile) or in stainless steel (sterile). Boxed in 100’s(sterile blades individually foil-wrapped; non-sterilesealed in foil packs of 5). Non-sterile blades alsoavailable individually packed in peel-open packets,boxed in 100’s. Sabre E/11 and D/15 blades areproduced in carbon steel only, sterile, boxed in 100’s.

Post-Mortem PM8 Handle & PM60and PM60B Blades

Further extending the Post Mortem range, the pointedPM60 and bull nosed PM60B blades offer the ease ofattaching to a PM8 handle in a traditional manner.Both blades VPI protected in single-peel packets, boxedin 50’s. Handles supplied individually in plastic wallets.

PM40 and PM40B Post Mortemknife and Disposable Scalpels

A Post Mortem knife with a choice of two heavy dutycarbon steel blades, the pointed PM40 or bull nosedPM40B. Screw type fitting to a stainless steel handle orcomplete as a convenient disposable scalpel with aprotective guard.Spare blades are individually wrapped and boxed in 10'swhilst the scalpels are available in units of 5 and 100.

Stitch CuttersRequiring no handles, the standard stitch cutter is incarbon steel, the midi and long versions in stainlesssteel. The No 3 stainless stitch cutter can be used inconjunction with a No 3 handle for more aseptictechniques.Available individually foil-wrapped in sterile packsof 100.

Guarded Disposable ScalpelsAvailable with the most popular stainless steel bladeshapes, and are fitted with a polyethylene protectiveguard. The sterile scalpels are individually wrapped in aview pack, and boxed in units of 10.Also available in a bulk, non-sterile format. For use incustom procedure trays and kits.

MyringotomyBladeLong, angled,stainless steel bladewith short cutting edgesat tip. Purpose-designed forboth up and down cutting.Individually packed, sterilisedand boxed in 10’s. This bladefits the ‘FINE’ range of handles.

The Swann-Morton Surgical BladeRemoverSingle use and available sterile in boxesof 50 it can be used within the OperatingRoom at the point of the procedure toremove the full range of surgical blade

shapes from either a No.3 or aNo.4 fitment handle.

Protecting staff from sharpsinjuries during contaminated

blade removal it is also transparentallowing for the count at the end

of the procedure before dispos-ing in an appropriate sharps

container.

‘Minor’ DisposablesCan be used as acomponent part of a“Procedure Kit”. Smallpolystyrene handle canbe supplied fitted withblade No’s 10, 10A, 11, 15or 15A. Polyethyleneblade guard. Non-sterileand bulk-packed.

Sterilisation is by Gamma Radiation (minimum dosage 25kGy. 2.5 M. Rad) carried out under strict laboratory control in Swann-Morton (Services) Ltd’s Cobalt 60 continuous irradiation plant.

Disposable Scalpels withRetractable Blade

Specially designed to assist in the reduction of potentialsharps injuries this scalpel has a high visibility redhandle combined with a retractable blade to supportsafe passing protocols. Colour coded sliders to indicatethe blade shape, an audible click when engaging theusage, passing and locked positions and ribbed, slipresistant finger grips for a secure hold in a gloved hand.They are available in stainless steel blade shapes 10,11P, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25A in sterile packs of 10or 25.
