LESSON PLAN The following is a sample of the Lesson Plan format used by the University.
Learning Standard(s)/Outcome(s): For students to describe the transformations of two-dimensional shapes, identifying line and rotational symmetry, whilst examining patterns made with transformations.
At the conclusion of this lesson, the students will know/understand that: shapes have a range of different transformations used to make patterns, including tessellations.
At the conclusion of this lesson, the students will demonstrate the skills/strategies of: problem solving and reasoning. Students will use problem solving as they solve problems using shapes. Reasoning will include students using investigating strategies to perform calculations and problems efficiently whilst continuing patterns.
