NEAR TO SPINDLE FACE AND 300 MM AWAY FROM SPINDLE FACE
• NEAR SPINDLE FACE SHOULD BE LESS THAN 5 µ AND AT 300 MM SHOULD BE LESS THAN 20µ
RADIAL AND AXIAL PLAY• SPINDLE SHOULD BE RIGID RADIALLY
AND AXIALLY • THIS CAN BE CHECKED BY APPLYING
HAND FORCE ON MANDREL.
CLAMPING FORCE
• PLACE THE CLAMP FORCE METER IN SIDE SPINDLE TAPER USING APPROPRIATE ADAPTER
• COMAPRE THE READING WITH CLAMP FORCE GIVEN IN MACHINE MANUAL
VIBRATION• MONITOR VIBRATION LEVEL
PERIODICALLY OF SPINDLE AND EXTERNAL SOURCE AS WELL
• BEST ACCEPTABLE LEVEL <2.25 MM/SEC
OVER ALL FUNCTIONING OF SPINDLE
• CHEECK OVERALL FUNCTIONING OF SPINDLE LIKE NOISE, TEMPERATURE, PROPER COOLING ETC
