Description

People in general do not realize theimportance of salt in maintaining thelife and health of their bodies.

An exact percentage of it is alwayspresent in our bloodstream, and anygreat deviation from this amount canresult in sickness and even death.

The human body contains many salts,of which sodium chloride (AKA commontable salt) is the major one, making uparound 0.4 % of the body’s weight at aconcentration pretty well equivalent tothat in seawater.

So a 50kg person would contain around200g of sodium chloride-around 40teaspoons. Since we lost salt wheneverwe sweat, it has to be continuallyreplaced.

We are called to be thermostats andnot thermometers in the worldaround us. We are to be theinstruments that God can use toimplement change in a wicked world. When genuine, New TestamentChristianity touches this sinful, wicked world, there will be change ofsome variety.

How does salt lose its saltiness?

The only way for salt to lose itssaltiness, from a chemicalperspective is for chemical reactionto occur. NaCl is a very stablesubstance. The chemical bond is verytight.

So, for salt to lost is pungent saltiness,or change its physical composition, itwould have to be diluted in waterbecause it is non-reactive in itscrystalline form.

Or electricity would have to beintroduce to force the sodium chlorideinto its ionic components therebychanging its chemical composition.

So, for the Christian, for the salt of theearth, to lose his degree of saltiness, the Gospel would have to diluted inhis life. This person is the complacentChristian, the person who does notprotect the Truth of the gospel in hislife from the rainfall of other ideas andideologies–

III.How not to lose its/your flavor?

How then can I maintain my saltiness?

A. Protect the GospelB. Preach the GospelC. Pray for the

expansion of the Gospel
