Hi everybody, I hope everyone had a great week at school. This

summer vacation was one of the most relaxing vacations yet! As

painful as it is to be back at school, Key Club season is about to

kick off! And who’s not excited for Key Club season?! Just a

reminder to bring your friends to those informational meetings

that will be starting soon, it just might change their life. Also just a

quick shout out to our divisional editor as well, Dickson Chen for

working really hard on out divisional website. If you have any

pictures from events that you want on the website feel free to

email him or FB message him. Is contact information is on the

website. I will be posting bimonthly updates, once after a

DCM or big event and once again after the release of The Panda

Herald. Also, the ALS ice bucket challenge.

Hopefully you all have heard of this challenge

by now. Well the ALS IBC has raised over

100 million dollars in just a week.

Amazing right? I wanted to encourage all of

you to keep up the good work! You all have

been wonderful and remember to make they

days count and not count the days.

Preferred Charities

It’s almost that time of year again,

Trick or treat for Unicef last year

division 22/24 raised roughly $500

through trick or treating for Unicef! It

was tons of fun and for a great cause.

I will have boxes for the coming DCM

and when I come by for club visits feel

free to take a few boxes! Organize a

trick or treating party today!

September DCM

Hi everybody so this month’s DCM is hosted

by Roosevelt Key Club. We have decided on a

picnic at Green Lake. This is a very special

DCM because RKC will be running it. Just to

reiterate all is welcome to divisional events.

When: Friday, September 19th

Time: 5 PM

Where: Green Lake Park

Did you know that the PNW District extends to

Canada? That’s right! On Wednesday, August

20th, Key Clubbers from Division 13/15/17 and

Division 18 gathered on the beautiful

University of British Columbia campus to learn

more about and celebrate service. Over 120

Key Club, Kiwanis, and Circle K members all

came together to satisfy their Sweet Tooth for

Service. They were able to raise $1221.43 for

the Eliminate Project!

I was actually part of the planning

committee that organized the event so seeing

the actual event take place was definitely a

worthwhile experience in it of itself. If I had to

narrow it down, though I’d probably my favorite

part was the opening session, specifically

because I got to teach everyone the Key Club

cheer

│Eastside Rally│

These aren’t your average knights in shining

armor. Key Clubbers spring in to action at

Eastside Rally! On August 16th Key Clubber from

Central and Eastern Washington to the

Panhandle of Idaho, Key clubbers met half way at

Moses Lake High School. All proceeds went to

The Eliminate Project of course!

My favorite part was how much we raised

for The Eliminate Project, because we saved a

lot of lives

│Joint DCM│

I really enjoyed the spirit between the

divisions (especially D28!) and how everyone

was playing and cooperating. I got to know the

Seattle-area club members better, as well as

save babies in the process, since all of the

funds are going to the Eliminate Project!

Even though it was raining, the DCM was

still really fun! I loved being able to play

Capture the Flag with so many divisions.

On August 30th Division 22/24, 26,27,28,

and 32 came together in the pouring

rain in the efforts to partake in capture

the flag. Each participant donated 3

dollars in the efforts in saving a mother

and child. With the most attendees

division 28 truly showed their colors

that day, and won 3 times in a row.

Although the rain pour everybody had

a wonderful time bonding with other

divisions.

Dear PNW Key Clubbers,

I hope everyone has had a

great start of the school

year, and you know what

the start of the school year

means... Your club’s first Key

Club Meeting! Key Club is in

full bloom, and I can’t wait

to see what your clubs are

doing for service and

fundraisers! Remember, if

you show how passionate you are for Key Club others will be

inspired to join. Be proud to be a Key Clubber and

remember to exemplify leadership and character, while

always being inclusive and caring to those around you.

Meeting all of you at the rallies was so inspiring; you are all

constantly dedicating your time and love to the

communities across the Pacific Northwest. I love how you

represent key club with your pride and spirit while showing

the dedication and compassion you hold for others.

As always, remember the district board is here for the

members and clubs. Please feel free to contact us at any

time with your questions or concerns. I hope to see y’all at

SPOTLIGHT OF

THE MONTH This month’s Spotlight goes out to Roosevelt Key Club!

Congrats to all of you Roughriders! Even before their first

meeting Roosevelt KC had been volunteering, recruiting and

promoting. On Tuesday before school even started RKC

officers were up early in the commons running a booth at the

club fair recruiting members and informing freshman and

many others about the joy of key club! Last week on Sunday

there were many who showed up for the Women or Wonder

run at green lake. Our clubber woke up at 8am to get to the

run that started at 9. They cut runner’s tags and cheered

everyone on! On top of that RKC had taken on the challenge

of hosting the September DCM, way to go RKC!
