Attachment, parking and turning
The category II or III one-piecedrawbar is elastic and absorbs highshock loads and protects the tractorand plough headstock.
The heat treated headstock shafthas tapered roller bearings, theseare easy to maintain ensuring longdurability.

Two telescopic rams turn the ploughsmoothly and positively through 180degrees.
The exact angle adjustment will bedone by adjuster screws separatelyfor each side.
The reliable turnovermechanism
The stand is multiple heights adju-sting, which guarantees an optimalposition of the headstock for coup-ling and uncoupling of the tractor.The stand can be quickly movedfrom parking into transport positionby readjustment of a spring-loadedpin.

Excellent manoeuvrability
To protect them against damage thehydraulic hoses are securely laid andpartly covered. The hydraulic hosesfor the working width adjustmentand the wheel are integrated into thestabilizer frame which protectstheme efficiently against damageand soiling.
Positioning of hoses
The optimum interplay of turnovermechanism and depth wheelensures also in hilly and difficultconditions the speedy and easyturning procedure on narrowheadlands.
Easy turningprocedure
The large clearance between turn-over mechanism and tractor enablesthe tractor to turn sharply = 90degrees on headlands. By means ofturning the plough frame, the depthwheel is steered automatically.

Plough bodies fitted laterally to theframe and the unique shape of thelegs give exceptional large clearan-ces between the plough bodies. Soclogging will be avoided also whenworking with narrow working widths.
The legs are fitted with shearbolts asstandard for safety. The legs arepositively located to prevent anypossibility of turning during work.

Adjustment of theplough

Special features of the robust boxsection frame of micro-alloy fine grainsteel are low weight for enormousstrength and long life. It is possible toadd an extension furrow if required.
The Euro Diamant adjustmentbrackets are firmly bolted to theframe. Following loosening of thecentral bolt, four different workingwidths between 30 and 50 cm can berapidly and easily selected.
Solid frame design
The main pivot pin of the Vari pivotbrackets is equipped with busheslocked securely with the frame pla-tes. Each Vari pivot bracket is alsofitted with tight-locking bushings. Inthis way the two lubricated bushesrunning one within the other guaran-tee long working life for the furrowwidth adjustment pivot pins, evenunder toughest conditions. Eachcomponent can be separately repla-ced in case of wear.
The Vari pivotbrackets
The plates for the leg pivot bracketare bolted to the frame. This givesvery positive location, great strengthand long life.
The pivot point of each bracketaligns closely with the centre ofeffort of the body, thus greatly redu-cing the loads on the pivot andassociated components. The wor-king width is steplessly adjustableby a double acting hydraulic ram.

Good on the field, safe on the road
For fast and safe transport on roads, the plough will beturned until the plough bodies are parallel to the ground(the butterfly position) and locked by means of two lockvalves. Now the plough can be towed as easily as asingle axle, articulated trailer. So the tractor and theplough are protected against overload.
The very large dimensioned depth wheel minimises thesoil pressure during work and ensures the requiredsafety when driving on roads.
The working depth of the plough is adjusted in the frontby the tractor hydraulic lift and in the rear by the hydrau-lically adjustable wheel. A pin is used as depth limiter. Astop at the depth wheel prevents the plough from lowe-ring down too deeply, which ensures that there is alwaysenough clearance between stabiliser and ground.

Ploughing close to boundaries
Due to the lateral positioned depth wheel not only theload of the plough frame will be reduced, but also thedistance between the tractor wheel and the depth wheel.This has as positive effect on the manoeuvrability of theplough on the headland.
The wheel position enables ploughing close to the edgeof fields for ploughs, which are extended by one morefurrow. In a 5 furrow version only the wheel runs besidethe furrow. When the plough is extended by one morefurrow, the wheel runs within the ploughing line.
The pull point of the plough is pre-adjusted and positio-ned in front of the drawbar. This forward positioned pointensures ideal tractor plough alignment will be achieved.This tractor plough alignment reduces the pressure on thelandslides and saves fuel, regardless of the working width.

Fitting the skimmer onto a flat stalkavoids danger of them twisting. Allshares and mouldboard variants canbe exchanged without any problembecause the frog is the same.For ploughing without skimmersthese can be quickly removedbecause only two bolts have to beloosened in each case.

With EuroDiamant and Vari-Diamantploughs with automatic overloadsafety systems the skimmers can bemoved along the beams. Workingdepth adjustment is made with pinsand therefore no-tool are required.For the ability to adjust the angle,round stalks are available.

Ready for action in tough conditions
The special D1, M3 und M2 skim-mers ensure a clean ploughed surfa-ce even when there's a lot of surfacetrash. Their working depth is quicklyand easily set by pins adjuster withthe row of holes in the skim stalkenabling exact and consistent set-ting for uniform quality of work fromall skimmers. D1 and M2 skimmerscan be ordered equipped with tail-pieces.

No tool rapid adjustment
Their special shape gives a verygood loosening effect. The subsoi-lers are adjustable for depth withoutany tools and can also be easilyremoved where required. All wearingparts can be individually exchanged.The tine protection prevents wear onthe tines.

The trash boards are fitted directly tothe mouldboards and are multipleadjustable. These enable blockage-free work and clean incorporation ofplant material.

The plain 500 mm diameter disccoulters feature side mouldingswhich encourage the disc to keeprevolving even when cutting througha lot of organic material. Depthadjustment is through verticalswivelling of each coulter arm whichis screw-locked into a toothedbracket. The adjustable bearings,fitted with plain side towards theploughed land, are double sealedagainst dirt ingress.

Tandem overload safety system
The plough body is tripped withoutshock loads through the double coilspring system or hydraulic ram. Apatented roller system ensures thatthe force at the point decreases gra-dually when tripping, increasing pro-gressively with the body re-enteringthe soil. High trip and re-entry forcesprovide firm guidance of the ploughbody and Non-Stop ploughing onstony ground.
The forces at theshare point
When the plough makes contactwith an obstacle the elastic, highquality tempered spring-steel beamand plough legs are able to „side-step“ to an unusual degree. Duringthis movement each beam is firmlyguided so that there is no way it canspring out of its mounting. Both legbracket and beam with the roller arebolted and not welded. This meansgreat strength and long life for theunits of the overload safety system.
Reaction atobstacles
Neither at trip or re-entry does anysignificant amount of frictional resi-stance occur at the spacing rollerbetween the tandem beams. Thismeans that force losses at re-entryof a plough body are reduced to aminimum. The result is a consistenttripping characteristic: gentle andshock-free followed by powerful,rapid re-entry of the plough body.

The adjustment range, controlled bya handwheel on the control block,is between 50 and 140 bar.
– Individual limits for specific areascan be set at the plough controlblock and activated through thecontrols from the tractor seat.
– Readjustments with manometerobservations are not necessary.
– The firm connection between beamand frame enables low systempressures to be applied with theHydriX overload safety system.
Adjustment rangeand maintenance
Even where the share point is firmlycaught under a stone, tree root orrock ridge, the plough is protectedagainst damage by an additionalshear bolt device as standard.A new shear bolt is quickly and easi-ly replaced and the work can restartas easily as that.
Overload security
Trip force is easily adjusted – andthis is important, especially whenploughing in stony conditions withrapidly changing types of soil. Withthe LEMKEN HydriX hydraulic versi-on, the pressure in the hydraulicsystem can be adjusted individually:in light soil conditions ploughingtakes place with trip forces as low aspossible so that stones are left underthe soil surface. Changing to heaviersoils or harder ground conditions thetractor driver increases the pressurewith the tractor controls so that theplough bodies are firmly kept at wor-king depth.
The lateral overload safety device(special equipment) makes the Vari-Diamant the No 1 in conditions withespecially big stones. Two springs inthe area of the connection bar of theworking width adjustment give moreway of the complete plough body.When the share, the point or themouldboard touches a stone lateral-ly, the spring unit will be loaded.The body trips and will be led backreliably to its previous position.
Safety with allconditions
The economic plough body
The frog is hardened and tempe-red and thus immensely strong.The plough body is adjustable forpitch and thus always allows goodentry into the soil. The smoothtransition from share to mould-board and the low-resistanceshape make the plough even ligh-ter to pull.
The mouldboard is made of har-dened special steel with a low-wear shape and no bolts in themain wear zones. The extra largemouldboard shin is a separatecomponent and thus cost-effi-ciently replaceable.
The Dural body
Low wear and good entry charac-teristics are guaranteed for thereplaceable share points throughtheir strength, material and form.
The extra broad landsides andlarge soil contact area ensure amore positive plough guidanceand these can be turned fourways to give maximum possiblewear life. The sword coulter offersa substantially greater proportionof wearing area for optimum utili-sation. The attachment area lies inthe ,,shadow" of the cutting edgeand so is protected from wear anddamage. Through the angling ofthe cutting edge to the rear andabove there's no opportunity forstones, roots, or other objects, tojam.
A special hard metal coating onthe share points and the wingsgives an up until now unbeatableworking life and substantially hig-her cost-effectiveness. Both pie-ces are hardfaced on one sidefrom below, producing a self-shar-pening effect.
Plough body con-struction
The slats of the slatted body areof thick, completely hardened,special steel and individuallyexchangeable. The securing boltsare deeply countersunk to guaran-tee that slats still remain firmlyattached after extremely longusage. Slatted bodies and normalmouldboards are based on thesame frog.
The share components are sepa-rate and of micro-alloyed boronsteel. Their overlapping attach-ment avoids snagging of roots orother foreign bodies. High materialdensity and strong attachmentguarantee low wear and resi-stance against breakages.
The available wearing zones onthe wing are considerably largerthan with common shares.

Onland ploughing with the furrow scout
Depending on type of tractor andtyres, it is possible to change thissemi-mounted reversible ploughfrom onland to in-furrow modejust using the hydraulics from thetractor seat. The front supportwheel for onland ploughing runswithin the plough frame thusgiving the large clearance neces-sary when reversing the plough.For in-furrow ploughing, thiswheel is locked in the mid-positi-on so there’s no need to dismantleit.
The onlandconversion
The sensing system warns thetractor driver via a control terminalwith optical and acoustic signalswhen freely-programmable limitsto the plough line are neared orexceeded.
Three ultrasonic sensors conti-nuously measure the distance bet-ween plough frame and furrowedge. The computer processesthe measurement data and, viahydraulic cylinder and proportio-nally-controlled magnet valve,maintains the plough at exactlythe right distance from the furrowedge. Deviations from the idealline by the driver are automaticallycorrected with the programmeddistance being re-imposed.All control impulses occur withouttime lag because distance to thefurrow edge is measured beforethe first plough body. This meansan exact joining of the last furrowand new furrow bout is alwaysguaranteed.
The control terminal
The horizontal draught point canbe easily adjusted via a simplebolt setting. This allows preciseload transfer onto the rear axle ofthe tractor. Where a tracklayer isused the draught point for a con-sistent loading on the tracks is setfar down. The system means opti-mum draught transfer is achieva-ble for all tractor types with resul-tant minimum wheel or track slip.
