Mass Retirement can be done by creating Work List.Use T code AR01

Then Execute

Enter the asset numbers that you want to retire.

Click on Create WORKLIST

Enter Name and select “Retirement Without Revenue” or as appropriate.

Remember the Work list name

Enter Date and Text

Now go to T code AR31

Enter Creator name

Select your list by double clicking

Execute

Click here

Check if Balances are Correct. You can delete assets from this list by selecting the line

and , similarly you can add to work list and

Check the balances.

If status is then there are no errors.

Now click that is on top right side.

Click on the to check the status.

Means asset has been retired successfully.

Click on Error to check for errors.

You can navigate to the asset by double clicking the asset and check the FI postings

Please note that there is no REVERSAL for Asset Retirement.Make sure the list is correct and balances are as desired.

It is better to have retirements by Asset classes.
