Overview of District Character Education Program

• To provide quality programming and support for students, staff, parents and community members in the areas of character development, childcare, adult literacy, counseling, health services, parent concerns and volunteer opportunities.  We strive to be the vehicle utilized to foster cooperative participation between the community at large and the school district. 

Overview of District Character Education Program

• Guidance and Counseling Program goal– To “Run the R.A.C.E.” which stands for “Raising

Achievement through Character Education”. The counselors work with teachers, administrators and parents to help students develop the skills they need to enhance their educational, social, emotional, college and career development. One aspect of the mission of Cedar Hill is to develop model citizens. We are here to help that goal come to fruition and help every child succeed.

Good Housekeeping Tips!!!

• We will be picked up from this campus and

transported by BUS at 1:45pm to attend the Character Ed Showcase at the NGC.– Principals, Asst. Principals, Counselors, Nurses,

Diagnosticians and Speech Therapists (Will not receive shopping certificates). Although they may attend they CAN NOT use certificates to make purchases.

– No other form of transportation is ACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!• This means YOU MUST RIDE THE BUS

THERE AND BACK.

Good Housekeeping Tips!!!• We are scheduled to attend the Showcase from

2:00pm until 3:00pm. We are asking that teachers enjoy the Showcase FIRST.

• We will enter the NGC through the front doors and walk down to the cafeteria area to the Showcase. We will exit from door #15.

Then once purchases are made you may enjoy the snacks.

Purchases may be made for yourself using cash, check or credit cards.
