1. Improve safety by separating pedestrians and vehicles from trains at the railroad crossing.

2. Enhance mobility and quality of life for the community.

Rosecrans/Marquardt Overview

Rosecrans/Marquardt Environmental

1. The project was environmentally cleared under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) with a Statutory Exemption (February of 2016).

2. Finalize environmental clearance under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Environmental Assessment (EA) will be completed by the end of 2017 to early 2018, along with an associated Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI).

Rosecrans/Marquardt Right-of-Way Status

Timeline:

1. Right-of-way (ROW) acquisitions began in 2016.

2. However, the State experienced a delay in appropriating funding for

the project, resulting in a temporary hold on real estate acquisition

activities.3. CAHSR board approved funding in June 2017.4. Upon execution of the funding agreement with CAHSR, Right-of-Way

acquisition activities will resume in Winter 2017.

4. Access to Rosecrans Ave. on the east side is provided via Iseli Rd.
