September 1949 Its authorized capital is Rs. 40 Crore and

paid up capital as on 31-03-85 was 29.94 Crores.

It holds 53% of shares, Rest held by Industrial development bank

of India, government of Pondicherry, and other public institutions.

It has 15 branch offices spread over the entire state of Tamilnadu

It endeavors for industrial development of the state by providing long term loans for acquisition of land, building, P&M, to eligible tiny and small scale units

It serves the national and socioeconomic objectives like: Development of backward areas Assistance to priority sectors, etc.

Joint stock companies, partnerships, propritory concerns, cooperative units.

Public ltd. Companies with paid up capital less than Rs. 1 Lacs

Ltd. Companies paid-up capital and free reserves not exceeds Rs. 1 Crore

Cooperation not considered if project cost exceeds Rs. 3 Crores

Loan for working capital not considered

For: Loans: Minimum limit Rs 5000 ; max. limit

Rs 30 lacs For Partnership: limited to 15 lacs Deferred payment guarantee: limited to Rs.

30 lacs Underwriting: considered on selective basis.

Limited to 25 lacs or 25% of the issue whichever is lower.
