Treatment of Shock

A casualty with shock may be pale with cold, clammy skin; they may be thirsty, feel sick, may be sweating and feeling dizzy. To treat the casualty:

1. Lay the casualty down, and raise their legs. Loosen clothing around the casualty’s neck.

2. Keep the casualty warm and call 999 and ask for an ambulance.
