Dear Families,
Congratulations to our amazing students who participated in the
interschool athletic sports last Friday. It was wonderful to see so many of
you showing such respectful sportsmanship towards each other and the
other school students. Well done to each of you!
Monday was the ‘Divisional Athletics’ and congratulations to Cody
Power, Charli Dorrity, Archie Congues,
Daniel Thorn, Woody Guthrie, Aiden Orton
and Shannon Young. This is such an
amazing effort to achieve selection for
the Divisional level. A very special
congratulations to Archie and Charli who
did so well on Monday that they will now
go on and represent our school at State
Athletics. We wish you both the very best.
I have been watching the practice each Monday afternoon as our RACV team gets ready for
the big event. We are so lucky to have the teachers and parents who are so dedicated to support our
children with this and come along to the hours of training and preparation and will also head over to
Maryborough in a few weeks to the main competition. Last year our team went really well and bought
home an award. I am sure that the team this year will be amazing too.

On Friday 11th October, the
grade 4, 5 & 6 students
participated in the interschool
athletics carnivals.
The grade 3/4 students,
Mrs Hill and Miss Sezun travelled
to Numurkah, where they placed
2nd overall between the four local
schools.
Meanwhile, in Nathalia at
the Recreation Reserve, the grade
5/6 students also competed
against St. Josephs Numurkah,
Numurkah Primary and St. Francis
Nathalia.
This was the first time the
Interschool sports had been run at
the local recreation reserve and it
was a resounding success, with
the enthusiasm, behaviour and
sportsmanship shown by our
students a real credit to them.
Overall, we finished in 3rd
place, with a number of
o u t s t a n d i n g i n d i v i d u a l
performances throughout the day.
We would like to extend
our thanks to Doug Cobbledick,
who was an enormous help in
setting up and allowing us to
make use of the Little Athletics
facilities and equipment. And also
the parents club for running the
canteen on the day for us.
