INTRODUCTION TO BEARING PULLER: Pulling process is the lifeline for any industries. various

industries like printing, machine tools automobile industries and excavators are to be pulled in order to reduce the man powered humming process .

The bearings may wear out easily due to improper Pulling process and thus reduce the efficiency of works.

Detachable bearing pullers provide an efficient means for the removal of gears, bearings, wheels, pulleys and other press fit parts.

TYPES OF PULLER:Mechanical type puller

Pneumatic type puller

Hydraulic type puller

Our puller has three main parts:

Arm: It is usually integral with the Hub or Top plate. Puller hub: It slides on the ways of screw or spindle as

well as arms is located side of the hub. Screw Rod: It gives the power to arm the forward or

backward movement and it is rotated by a handle..

Description of Components: 1) Arm: It is a long mild steel plate which is fixed on either side of

the hub plate by means of groove. The lower end of the arms bend by using forging process in

order to have an easy holing for job.

SPECIFICATION : Material - Mild Steel (Plate) Size - 165*50*12 mm Weight - 2 kg Operations - Grinding, Shaping and Gas cutting

2)HUB:The Hub acts as a foundation to this apparatus. It carries

all other parts. The various operations involved in manufacturing this

hub plate are gas cutting ,shaping, Drilling &Thread forming.

3)Screwed spindle: This screwed spindle consists of a ‘V-Thread’ of M24

and pitch of 3 mm of coarse thread. At the end of the screwed spindle, step is formed and a

hole is drilled . The top of the screwed spindle is drilled in order to pass through a handle .The screw rod also rotated with the help of spanner .

THREAD: Thread is defined as the continuous helical groove on a

cylindrical surface. A screw made by cutting a single groove on the cylinder

is known as single thread screw is cut in the space between the grooves of the first, a double threaded screw is formed.

The thread cut on a cylindrical surface may be left handed or right handed.

Application of thread: Thread may be used for many application like holding parts

together making adjustments in tools and instruments and for transmission of power and motion.

To hold parts together we need bolt and nut. These are widely used were the machine parts are required to be readily connected or disc connected with out damage to the machine or the fastening.

In making adjustment in tools and instruments are made by the use of threaded parts.

APPLICATIONS:

This puller is mainly used by electric motor service people and pump assemblers, and two wheeler, four wheeler mechanic for removing the bearing from the shaft.

This device finds place in,It is used almost in all types of industries

(Large, small, medium scale industries).This device is mainly used in AC Induction

motor industries.This device is suitable to hold job of any

diameter (maximum job diameter of 25 mm to 70mm)

The project carried out by us made an impressing task in the all type of machining works.

It is very useful for the labors to remove the bearing, small flywheel gears .

This project has been designed to perform the entire requirement task, which has also been provided.
