IDEA 1:-Students should read newspaper

daily to make themselves

updated about current affairs.

PROTOTYPE:-I wanted to test my user’s efforts to read the newspaper in a systematic and informed way.This can be done by separating a newspaper in different sections such as:

News of national importanceNews of international importanceLatest upgradations in technologyEditorials and general topics of discussionJob and career opportunitiesSports sectionMarket index and business lineVocabulary

The best way to implement this prototype is to built up a separate notebook of each category of topics.

While going through the newspaper,the reader that is my interviewee should cut out clippings from the newspaper and paste that clipping in that particular notebook pertaining to that topic respectively.

The entries should be datewise.The interviewee should maintain an index on the

very first page of the notebook mentioning the date and topics discussed on that date.

One notebook should be maintained for writing atleast 20 good words from newspaper daily with their meaning

This would help in improving the vocabulary of interviewee as well as he’ll learn a variety of new and impressive words.

Also he should practice those words by forming atleast 2 sentences corresponding to each word.This would help him to remember that word for the lifetime.

WHAT WORKED

The person whom I interviewed found reading newspaper helpful as it updated him about day to dat happenings around the world and globe.

WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED

I would like to spread this idea of reading newspaper daily to as many people as I can.

QUESTIONS

Will the person be able to devote required time on doing this activity of effectively reading newspaper??

IDEAS

Take it as a daily challenge of devoting atleast 1 hour daily on this activity.

IDEA 2:-School must organise students in different

clubs such as environmental

club,humanities club,sports club,music

club etc in order to enhance the talent of

each student

PROTOTYPE:-

I wanted to test my user’s participation in various activities organised at school level to enhance his hidden talents and capabilities.For this the school authorities should distribute the students in different groups or I should say clubs and make it as a part of academic assessment so that students should give their active participation in lieu of good marks.The students should involve in these clubs according to their own interest like for example if a student has interest in music,then he’ll be allowed to join the music club.Weekly activities should be performed by each club lke two clubs can organise activities in a week,other two in next week and so on.

The various clubs that can be made at school level are:-Ecology & Environmental clubCulture and ethics clubHumanities clubScience clubMathematics clubEnglish clubMusic clubSports clubGeneral knowledge club

Ecology & environmental club could organise activities related to awareness about our environment,importance of flora & fauna,awareness regarding green house effect,etc.This could be done by organising exhibitions,fancy dree shows,planting of trees activity in school,homes,etc.

Cultural & ethics club could organise activities related to awareness of cultures of one’s own country as well as to make students aware about the ethical values that would make them discipline and well mannered.This could be done by organising street plays,dance competitions,etc.

Humanities club could organise activities related to teaching and imbibing in students the lesson of humanity.This could be done by organising short visits to certain slum areas,organising teaching sessions for poor students and illiterate people etc. on weekends in school premises where students would take initiative to teach those poor people.

Science club & Mathematics club could organise activities to make students aware about about latest innovations in and around the globe in these subject areas.This could be done byorganising quiz competitions,debate competitions,exhibitions.Powerpoint presentations and paper presentations can also be organisaed.Also these clubs would make students aware about the future and carrer prospects in these subject areas. English club could help students to become a good

orator by organising skits,debate and declamation contest,vocabulary quizzes,etc.

Music club could organise certain singing competitions to upbring the singing talent of students.Also students could make different music bands and organise small shows.In this club,the school must have teachers to teach students various types of musical instruments.

Sports club could carry out sports meet in which different competitions sush as cricket match,basketball matches,badminton matches,volleyball matches,relay races.sac race.long jump competition.karate matches,lawn tennis matches,table tennis matches etc can be organised.The students must be well trained before hand by school coach for all these sports activities.

General knowledge club could organise quizzes in which students are required to study various general topics as well make themselves aware about administrative appointments,winners in different fields,gallantry award holders,country’s diplomatic relations,world’s history & geography,famous inventions by scientists,etc.This could be done by inculcting in the students the habbit of reading general knowledge books and monthly journals.

The person whom I interviewed found participating in these various school clubs helpful as it made him more confident and helped him to enhane his hidden talents.

WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED

I would like to spread this idea of organising students into various clubs at school to as many school authorities as I can.

QUESTIONS

Will the students show their active partcipation in such school activities for overall development or just for the sake of marks??

IDEAS

Encouraging students to participate in such school based activities by giving exclusive awards and certificates for their participation which may include cash prizes,medals.other gifts,etc.
