What does the UMD campus do to promote Transferology to students,

faculty and staff?

Promoting to Students

HandoutsWe created a marketing piece that we can hand

out to prospective students and families when they attend our

on-campus visit programs.

Handouts

Our UMD Transfer Admissions piece also refers to Transferology

which is linked from our transfer website.

WebsiteOur One Stop

Student Services

website also directs students to Transferology (linked from our transfer page)

Requests for Information

Students are encouraged to utilize

Transferology and then send us a request for

information that includes this information.

Requests for information

We then follow up with the student based on their request.

Individual Meetings1. Create a course bundle2. Run through a program3. Print/email them the report4. Send “Maybe” courses for review

a. OTR sends these courses to our faculty

Promoting to Staff/Faculty

Beta-TestingUniversity of Minnesota Duluth was one of the institutions that beta-tested Transferology. This

enabled us to

1) familiarize our campus with the differences between u.Select and Transferology

2) Explain Transferology to administration and staff who had not previously used u.Select

What Beta-Testing Taught Me

Be a resource and expert for your campus

Be able to provide training and support to staff, faculty, and student employees

Encouraging Account Creation

Faculty and staff are encouraged to

request the creation of a Transferology

Lab account through a

Google request form

Give Updates

Transferology Lab users receive an update about each new release of

Transferology, and an explanation of its new functions & features. This was done through e-mail; we are switching over to

a Google group.
