Myself (and anyone else who needs to build their professional network).

As a person entering the field of HR I want to develop my career and seek advancement and job opportunities and one of the best ways to do that is through one’s professional network.

Developing a professional network is beneficial in my job search, career and life.

Expand network by…◦ On-line social networking

LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook◦ Professional social networking

NCHRA events, Young Area Professionals events, Company/Industry info sessions

◦ Other – socializing Volunteering, classes, friends, family

Won’t join any HR prof. org.s that cost more than $150 per year until I get a job.

Won’t go to networking events that are outside the Bay Area until I have a job.

Increasing the number of professional contacts.

Increasing the number of contacts that give me job leads, recommendations and other useful information to help advance my career.
