Primary Research• Primary research is research that we have gather and found by ourselves.

For example the use of questionnaires, surveys as well as focus group are different type of primary research.

• Primary research use interviews to gather information which is the most time consuming way of gathering information. However primary research would be able to carry more information than secondary as primary research is able to gathers the viewers opinion.

Advantage of primary research

• Gets the viewers opinion• More valuable information• The person went to grab the information personally• Target audience can be found much easier this

method• More specific

Disadvantage of Primary Research

• Expensive• Time consuming• The feedback may not be 100% correct.• More information will need to be gathered. For

example, the person may want the person getting interviewed, facial expression.

Secondary Research• Secondary research is when the person is getting research through online

such as the internet, books from the library and much more.• Secondary research can be found when someone could be looking at

someone's biography for example. This information is automatically given to us.

Advantage of secondary research

• Less time consuming• Been automatically given to us• Many different sources to choose from• Mostly used in the new generation• Cheap

Disadvantage of Secondary Research

• Information may be out of date. • The person who is getting the information may not

understand what it might mean for example getting information may be written in a much more complex language.

• Information may not be specific.• The information may be copyrighted.
