Preparing the image for the magazine cover

The first thing I did was to crop the image because there was

plenty of extra space on the top which wouldn’t be useful

After I cropped the image I changed the colours; I darkened the picture I bit and I also made the colours more contrasting.

However I didn’t like the shadows which were on the background, because after changing the

colours they because more emphasized. Therefore, I cut the background with the free selecting tool

At the end I re-sized the image, because I wanted it to be in a more rectangular shape

appropriate for a magazine cover.
