Project Cost Management
• Method that uses technology to measure cost and productivity through the full life cycle of enterprise level projectsIt has six lines with total length 189.63 kilometers 142 stations in which 35 are underground
• PCM encompasses several specific functions of project management including estimating, job controls, field data collection, scheduling, accounting and design.
Project Cost Management• Beginning with estimating, a vital tool in PCM, actual
historical data is used to accurately plan all aspects of the project. As the project continues, job control uses data from the estimate with the information reported from the field to measure the cost and production in the project. From project initiation to completion, project cost management has an objective to simplify and cheapen the project experience.PCM encompasses several specific functions of project management including estimating, job controls, field data collection, scheduling, accounting and design.

• Line 1 Shahdara-Tri Nagar- Rithala (22.06 KM- 18 Stations)
• Line 2 Vishwa Vidyalaya-Central Secretarit (10.84 KM 10 Stations)
• Line 3 Indraprastha - Barakhamba Road- Dwarka City (32.10 KM 31 Stations)
• Total 65 KM with 59 stations
Financing Delhi Metro
• Central and State Govt. Equity• Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) –
1.2 % interest rate, repayment period of 30 years• Property Development • Interest Free Subordinate Loan by Centre and
State Govt. for land acquisition• Govt. Grant• Total Budget Phase 1 - 10571 cr.
JICA Loans
• Loan has been accompanied by a series of general contracts going to Japanese firms
• In May 1998-DMRC appointed Japan's Pacific Consultants International (PCI) as general consultant
• The general consultant's role is vital• It chooses the firm which will finally execute
the project
