COMPANY
PSV is a company of PARCOL and SVC. PSV was founded in 2016 with the target of creating a flexible and high quality safety valve company. PSV combines the international spirit and the strength of the brand Parcol with the efficiency and quality of SVC products. Since 2016 PSV is proudly the technology licensor for the line of SVC safety valves.
TIMELINE
PSV COMPANIES Parcol is an Italian company, founded in 1954, with more than 60 years of history, technology, innovation and independence. PARCOL group distinguishes itself from other manufacturers through: Responsiveness, Communication and Delivery. Parcol is ideal for customers who need the answers ready, offering professional “Severe Service applications” for Safety, Control Valves, Ball Valves and Butterfly Valves Control.
SVC, since its founding in 1977, has led the valve industry with smarter valve designs and manufacturing techniques. SVC’s flow control solutions are custom-engineered and optimized for the unique needs of each site for the most demanding industrial applications worldwide, from crude oil facilities in the Middle-East and thermal power plants in South America to nuclear power plants in Korea and more.

Contrary to the safety valves for refineries, petrochemical industries, and process plants, that are designed to perform as satisfactorily as possible whilst operating with media which may greatly differ from one to the other, valves for steam boilers are items optimized for the specific applications. Requirements for steam boiler safety valve are: Small Overpressure. Short Blowdown, adjustable on field. High level of Tightness usually with little
difference between operating pressure and set pressure.
High Flow Capacity. High Set Pressure Accuracy. Although they are to be used with only one medium, steam in the saturation state has many physical properties that differ from those it has when superheated. These valves may discharge to the atmosphere either directly or through a piping system and/or a silencer; they must withstand severe stresses and their capacity must not be reduced by backpressure. Should the set pressure be reached, the spring loaded safety valves will open and discharge sufficient steam to maintain pressure within the allowed limits. They represent a last resort when all other process control equipment has failed.
Rigid manufacturing standards controlled by an ASME approved Quality Assurance Program and a certified/registered ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Program ensure that each PSV valve will be manufactured in accordance with established design criteria and tested for functional performance. This quality-controlled manufacturing and testing program assures that each valve manufactured will provide long and reliable service. ASME Code Sections I Spring Loaded Pressure Relief Valves have been flow tested in accordance with the applicable ASME Code rules for the establishment of rated capacities.
Constant support to the customer to solve
specific problems with tailored solution. PSV factory is provided by:
I. Capacity test line for steam service for V stamp valve, as required by ASME I code.
II. Spring test device for controlling springs in accordance with ASME VIII-1 requirements.

POWER APPLICATIONS Standard valve for not severe power applications, suitable for low pressure, steam-heating boilers and steam generators as well as air service applications with double rings to regulate valve performances. Series SSR-S1000 is a high capacity, full nozzle type with flanged inlet and outlet connections.
S1000 SERIES
GENERAL INFO: V Stamp. Size: from ¾”x 1” to 8”x10”. Rating: until # 2500. Range Temperature: until 650 °C Orifice Area: D (0,787 cm2) ÷ T (182,6 cm2)
PERFORMANCE: Full lift overpressure is equal to the greater
between 3% of set pressure and 0.15 bar. Blowdown is within 4% of set pressure, with
a minimum of 2% ( blowdown range is 0.15 to 0.30 bar when the set pressure is lower than 7 bar). BACKPRESSURE:
Series SSR-S1000 safety valves are without bellows with the bonnet open to atmosphere, therefore any superimposed backpressure will affect the set pressure value, lowering it. Valve performance, and particularly the discharge coefficient at the stated overpressure, is minimally affected by the built-up backpressure value, until 25% of backpressure.
STEAM CONVEYING: At valve open, the steam flowing in the gap between disc-holder and guide is collected by a dedicated device, placed between body and bonnet, to allow its disposal to a safe location and to avoid spring heating.

POWER APPLICATIONS Safety valve specially designed for steam boilers, including hypercritical units, with an additional third ring to regulare the effects of backpressure on field. Series SSR-S1100 is especially suited for applications with high levels of built-up backpressure.
GENERAL INFO: V Stamp. Size: from 1,5”x 3” to 6”x10”. Rating: until # 2500. Range Temperature: until 650 °C Orifice Area: F1 (2,85 cm2) ÷ R2 (124,4 cm2)
PERFORMANCE: Full lift overpressure is equal to the greater
between 3% of set pressure and 0.15 bar. Blowdown is within 4% of set pressure, with
a minimum of 2%.
BACKPRESSURE: SSR-S1100 is adequately designed for application with elevated backpressures resulting both from the free discharge and from the use of a silencer. Maximum built-up backpressure is 40%. For backpressure greater please contact PSV.
All pressure constraining or mechanically
stressed parts are generously sized, in order to ensure the long and safe life of the valve. The valve is designed to render negligible any effects of temperature variations on its proper operation and to provide a high degree of tightness.

FACTORY
Valves will be live tested on media they will see in the field on a certified shop test stand. Super heat correction factor will be used for higher temp super heated steam valves ( ASME I requirements ). Shop steam plant has a maximum operating pressure of 100 barg. For application with set pressure higher than boiler capability, according to with customer, set pressure can be checked with the help of Set Pressure Device.
SET PRESSURE DEVICE
PSV has the most required tools for field service: Air/Hydraulic Set Pressure Device:
set pressure of safety valve is determined without raising the operating pressure until set pressure (50%-85% operating pressure required).
Reseating Tool to re-maching the seating surface of nozzle without removing the safety valve from the plant.
Hydrostatic Plug to allow hydraulic test of plant without removing the safety valve. RESEATING
