Construct New Bridge (6-8 Months)

1. Bridge Abutments on both sides of the bridge •Excavatefootings,drillholes(piles)andfillwithreinforcingsteel and concrete • Buildabutmentfootingandwallswithreinforcingsteelandconcrete• Backfilldirtaroundthesidesandfrontoftheabutment

2. Center Columns • Buildfootingwithreinforcingsteelandconcrete• Buildcolumnswithreinforcingcageandconcrete

3. Bridge Structure including Deck (including utilities)• Buildtemporarysupports(falsework)includingsteelbeamsand timber posts*• Builddeckbottom(soffit)andsides(exteriorgirderandinterior stemwalls)withreinforcingsteelandconcrete• Installutilitiesgoingthroughthebridge(waterandgas)• Build top deck using reinforcing steel and concrete• Cure concrete for 10-28 days• Removetemporaryfalseworkincludingsteelbeamsandtimberposts*• Buildsidewalksandrailing;Installfencingandlighting• Rebuildtheapproachestothebridgeandperformfinalcleanupwork• Reconnectutilities–gas,water,electricity,phone,cable
