PERSONAL SHOPPING ASSISTANT

The Purpose of Personal Shopping Assistant is to make shopping less tiring and more exciting .

In existing system we have to pick one basket in the Mall/Hyper market and have to search, were a particular item of particular company is located, this results into tiresome shopping.

PURPOSE

This software is deployed in malls, supermarkets,hypermarts.

It is based on RFID technology and Wireless (Wi-Fi) technology.

The cart will have a LCD screen wherein customer can locate a particular item, a book-mark portal, how much the bill has reached and finally the customer don’t have to stand in the queue to settle the bill.

PRODUCT FUNCTIONS

Hardware Interface

RFID module - which is a device used for an interface between the tag and the system. This reads information from RFID tag.

System-This acts as an interface for the user.

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

ADMIN: Admin does the work of updating the database.

USER: The use can login with his/her user name and password and hence carry on with shopping.

USER INTERFACE

This page allows the User to Login.

After the User swipes the card they land on the Map

page.

The scan page allows the User to input an Item.

Description of an Item.

Location Based Search.

The Search Page allows the User to search Items.

The Promo page is where the User has access to

Offers.

Items present in the Cart.

RFID Reader: RFID Reader is a device which is used to read details of a product stored in the RFID tags pasted over the product.

RFID Tag: It is a tag which contains two parts, chip and antenna. The chip contains all the information about the product and the antenna

is used as a transponders. RFID tags are essentially microchips, the tinier the better.

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

Going by the present scenario we believe this product of ours is going to bring a revolution. It is going to change the shopping experience of the customers like never before.

This is going to save a lot of time for the customers by avoiding the concept of standing in queues. It will also help them in a way where they don’t have to face any embarrassment in case they are short of cash. Bookmark feature is something like a reminder so that the customer knows what he missed the last time he went for shopping.

Once ready we hope this will find a valuable place in the mega shopping malls and will cater to the user’s needs. We also plan to add some other features other then what we have mentioned in this report which will make shopping more interactive.
