ABSTRACT

PhysicaldevelopmentofMuaraTewehCityaccompaniedbygrowingpopulationand increasingsolidwastegenerationstrivesthegoodmanagementandtreatmentsystemofwasteproblem.Managementand treatmentofwaste expected toovercome theproblems resulting from theexistingsolidwastegeneration.Onewaytoovercome thisproblemwas through theselectionpattern of waste collection and transportation that meet the criteria and aspects in themanagementofwaste.Patternofwaste collection inMuaraTewehCitywhichappliedat thistime comprised of; direct individual pattern, indirect individual pattern and direct communalpattern which can only serves a specific region only. Transportation which used in wastetransportationweredirecttransportationpatternandapatternbyelevatedcontainersystem.Thistransportationpatternspentthetimetogoaroundthecityandtheroadtotakeandreturnto containing location. Thus, the pattern of waste collecting and transporting is still notoptimally.Accordingtostandard,toasmalltownsuchasMuaraTewehpatternselectedshouldbethewastecollectingandtransportinginaccordancewiththephysicalconditionofthecityandaspectsofwastemanagement.
