liquid, whereas the waterproof layer has a 100% waterproof structure ensuring a complete barrier to fluids and micro-organisms.

• Drapes for patient draping are made either of absorbent/waterproof non-woven fabric or Softesse®, a fluid-repellent, soft, drapable and highly breathable material for complete protection and comfort. Their whole surface is waterproof and they have fluid control systems and self-adhesive areas (self-adhesive U-shaped, hole or side), so as to allow a safe and accurate fixing and enhancing the range of sterile fields.

Our Materials

The high-grammage non-woven fabric (NWF), which we use to manufacture dental treatment unit covers, is waterproof, tear-resistant and comfortable for the patients. It was obtained by combining together different materials, and guarantees a high barrier effect.

Layer 1: Impermeable Barrier This layer reduces the risk of post operative infection by preventing the migration of pathogens. Material thickness and weight provides optimal barrier function and tear resistance when wet.

Layer 2: Absorbent Layer A special combination of non-woven materials replicates the functionality of outdoor/sports clothing for effective fluid absorptionwet.

A specific processing method is used to produce this very soft and drapeable material,with a unique breathability degree, able of creating a total barrier against biological fluids and any kind of contaminants.
